On the other hand, osteomalacia results in muscular weakness and weak bones. The elderly, obese individuals, exclusively breast-fed infants, as well as those who have limited sun exposure, are at a high risk for Vitamin D deficiency diseases.
Those who take too much of the vitamin is in risk for Vitamin D toxicity. Overdose has been observed at 1925 µg/d or 77,000 IU per day. Dehydration, vomiting, irritability, constipation and fatigue are the observed symptoms of Vitamin D poisoning.
